The PTC – or Pinecrest Trails Club is a meetup group.

This broad trail user group is to offer meetup opportunities for those interested in various trail activities including hiking, running, backpacking, biking on trails in the Pinecrest California general area.

The short version of the club name is the “PTC” – Not to be confused with the PCT or the Pacific Crest Trail!

** I’m defining Pinecrest trails as any trails you wish in activities to include that are maybe within 1 hr driving distance from Pinecrest, California. This includes trails and FS roads in National Forests, wilderness, etc.

Activities include:

• Organized Hikes

• Trail Running

• Backpacking and overnight stays outside of the Pinecrest Recreation area on Pinecrest area trails

• Bike Riding

• Nature Journaling, art, and science explorations on Pinecrest area trails

• Mapping of local trails and routes

• Research of historical trails and routes in the Pinecrest area

• Social gatherings for Pinecrest Trails Club members

• Help to bridge nearby communities of Strawberry, Bumblebee and Cow Creek and Leland Meadows, Leland Creek to Pinecrest community via Pinecrest area trails and FS roads.

• Helping to support community projects that benefit Pinecrest area Trails and other features
