Secret Lake
5 miles round trip
This shorter day hike or overnight backpacking trip is a favorite as it is often available earlier in the season as it is on the Eastern side of the Sierras. Swimming is excellent and round trip hike is only a few miles without extensive elevation.
Starting location – This is about a 45-1 hr drive from Pinecrest to the trailhead.
Driving directions – Drive over Sonora pass to the Leavit Meadows Trailhead, about 50 miles from Pinecest.
Park here in this lot. Walk through the Leavit Meadows Campgrounds and cross over the footbridge that cross the West Walker River.
At the first trail junction in about 1/4 mile, take the fork to the right for the quickest route to the Secret Lake. On the return route, continue pass secret lake heading toward Lane lake but turn right to return back to Leavitt Meadows area.

This map is not on the topo as it is not really a local Pinecrest trail.
