Pinecrest has always been an active area for hiking and biking for over 100 years.  This page is a jump to document some of the older, historical trails that may or may not be in current use.  Some trails listed here may also be listed on the current or future trails page.

You can see an original trail (dotted lines) that existed in 1906 that came off the roads and headed up the canyon pass the three lakes, Edna, Eleanor, and Gertude. You can still find evidence of these trails in various places.
